SB19 takes top spot at Billboard Hot Trending Songs
SB19 has been in the spotlight this week, and this time they are grabbing worldwide attention as they bagged the Top 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart with their song Bazinga.
Bazinga is part of their latest album, Pagsibol EP, which was released on July 22, 2021. Bazinga’s official music video, which was published by end of October, is now nearing the 3M-view mark on YouTube.

“The song reigns with 1.5 million Twitter mentions (up 67%) in the tracking week, which ran from Friday, Nov. 26 through Thursday, Dec. 2, and earns SB19 its first No. 1 on any chart.” – Billboard.com
For the past six weeks, BTS reigned the top spot with their songs Butter and Permission to Dance.

Hot trending songs were determined by Twitter, real-time, as to what people are talking about for that week. It’s undeniable that their fans A’TIN are dedicated to bringing the boy group to the top spot.
After Billboard’s announcement, SB19 was quick to express their gratitude to their fans.
SB19’s MAPA
SB19 songs are on a roll—and Google has all the records.
Their song MAPA took the sixth spot in Google’s top trending, most searched songs. This is the only Filipino song in the “Year in Search” list. MAPA is an appreciation song for their parents and/or guardians who have been untiringly guiding their ways. MAPA’s lyric music video has now over 60 million views on YouTube.

SB19 just released three new songs by end of November during their two-day online concert—Nyebe, Ligaya, and Where You At. They were also nominated as the Top Social Artist at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards and Best Southeast Asian Act at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Full of beautiful music and recognitions, 2021 has been a year of celebrations for SB19 and A’TIN, but it seems that it’s only just the beginning for SB19 as they are now gaining the international spotlight that they deserve.
